As I can search by logged on user name, I could search my computer tree, find where they are logged in, and set the timed screenshot to run for a certain duration. When you’re ready to start the screen shot timer, click on Start Timer. Once you’re in the app, do the following: Pull down the Capture menu and select Timed Screen or hit Command+Shift+Z to bring up the timed capture alert dialog that you see in the screenshot. If the student has been flagged for inappropriate use and has been warned, it would be nice to be able to tell him/her we will be monitoring their use for potential future disciplinary action. Open the Grab / Screenshot app if you haven’t done so yet. I know some of the basics of what they are doing, but being able to go back and follow along with a few screenshots, would let me knowĢ - As I work in a school, we have had issues with students using the machines inappropriately.

I don't have time to set with him/her or remotely watch but would like to know the basics of what they had to do to resolve our issue, upgrade the system, etc. You would need to be able to select a folder/filename scheme, image type, resolution, etc. The ability to select multiple machines and set the options would be a nice touch, but not a necessary feature to start with.ġ - I have a support tech from one of the software packages we run (either remotely or locally) doing some work on one of our servers. You may not be able to take pictures of windows in some apps, such as DVD. Filenames begin with Screen Shot or Screen Recording and include the date and time. png files and screen recordings are saved as. Give Command-Shift-3 (full-screen capture) and Command-Shift-4 (capture straight into crop mode) a try. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Shortcuts. The ability to take a screenshot of a VNC session can be quite useful. How about the ability to save timed screenshots?
